Dreamcatcher Lodge
|
Dreamcatcher Lodge was purpose built as a luxury Bed and Breakfast. The Lodge is constructed in western red cedar and is situated on 7.5 acres overlooking Wollondilly towards Appin and Razorback Mountain.
The Lodge has two luxury queen bedrooms, a suite with its own private lounge and a dedicated guest lounge with verandah for guest's exclusive use.

This is the guest verandah and terrace providing cool shade in summer for a leisurely breakfast either on the verandah or under the shade of the umbrella beside the pond. |
The outline of Dreamcatcher Lodge against the sky can be seem from Picton Bridge.

Blue Wren Cottage is a full self-contained two bedroom cottage just down the hill from Dreamcatcher Lodge. The Cottage offers complete privacy and spectacular views with a comfortable country welcome. It has all the ambience of a country retreat but with all the mod-cons of modern day life! The Cottage can accommodate 6 people.

| This is the Gazebarn ( a cross between a gazebo and a barn). It is made out of recycled timber that was once a cattle yard from Bob the Beekeeper's property at Yanderra. Greg and some of our young friends constructed it and it has been used for weddings, Christmas Parties and BBQs. It is a lovely bridal walk down over the bridge and through the roses! |
|

Sunrises are absolutely spectacular from all guest bedrooms and everyday produces a totally different one. In winter the valley fills with mist and in summer the hills change colour dramatically as the sun sets.

|

Early morning often brings fog to the valley. Perched high on a hill the Lodge commands spectacular views across Wollondilly encompassing Razorback Mountain to the north, the Nepean River and Maldon stretching back to Wilton and Appin to the northeast and Pheasants Nest to the southeast. The old Hume Highway borders our land and regularly plays host to a cavalcade of vintage vehicles or bike clubs en masse on weekends.

This is Percy ... he wanders the garden and terrorises our neighbours chooks! He finds the very best spot to perch and definitely rules the roost! At night he goes to the very top of the Ironbark Gum and and is an excellent watch dog calling out when anyone approaches. |

The great room is the spine of the Lodge and has a beautiful sandstone fireplace, cathedral cedar panelled ceiling . It opens out to a large deck floating above our fabulous rural views.

We are currently creating leadlights for the cupboard doors beside the fireplace. So far the pond and Percy the peacock are immortalised in glass and we are currently creating an alpaca door and a Chook Mahal door! Watch this space!

Mitzi is a lush who sits atop of the piano in the Great Room and surveys all!

This is a chestnut tree that was already existing when we bought the land and we made the sure the house fitted behind it when we built. It is covered in nuts this year so we are hoping for a bumper harvest! |

This is the 1928 McCormick Deering that we drove up to Toowoomba to collect in the New Year 2009. Percy is inspecting and in the background you can see the new Dairy Workshop taking place beside the chook yard! |

Mike Whitney and the Sydney Weekender production crew spent a day at Dreamcatcher Lodge B & B during May 2007 filming our Wollondilly Farmgate Gourmet Weekend Package. It went to air on 9th June, 2007. Here are Greg, Kathy and Mike in front of the Great Room fire enjoying a delicious dinner of Wollondilly Farmgate tucker!
NOTE: Dreamcatcher Lodge and Blue Wren Cottage are smoke free environments.
