The Guest Lounge

The Guest Lounge welcomes you into Dreamcatcher Lodge.  This is a lovely, bright airy room just outside the Lodge's guest bedrooms.  You might find Bobby the Cavalier with tail wagging to welcome you or perhaps Percy the Peacock will be at the door to greet you.

Or if you arrive in the evening, the lights will beckon you in!

The lounge is decorated with a wide collection of blue and white china from all parts of the world with a touch of 'the sea and lighthouses.
Bifolds open out to a verandah overlooking the garden.  The scene through the windows is of a large pond complete with water-lilies, frogs and dragonflies!
Just through the double doors is the Great Room and the kitchen where a cup of tea or latte is always at hand!
In winter, relax in front of the wood fire with a latte and a piece of homemade cake.  In the warmer months it is lovely to sit in the cool of the verandah overlooking the garden and pond. In the evening enjoy a glass of local wine and local produce plate whilst watching the colours in the sky through the pines or the ducks overhead returning to the Nepean in V-formation.
Percy will probably join you if he thinks there may be some crumbs hitting the ground before leaping to the top of the Ironback Gum behind the garage to his night resting place.

The garden at the front door is best in late winter and spring when all the bulbs spring to life and the iris bloom whilst the fragrance of the jonquils and gardenias blend in a delightful way.

Play a game of chess or cards, or just veg out with a book or magazine.  There are games, books, magazines, DVDs and CDs for inside entertainment or a variety of outdoor games as well - including giant pick up sticks, croquet, badminton and boules.   Or just go for a wander through the garden and see our hundreds odd roses and Greg's veggie garden and don't forget to say hello to the 'girls' in their chookyard!

We have been planting out our garden over the last three years and we are thrilled with the way it has taken.  Teefa, the tractor, was brought down from Toowoomba on the back of a car trailer and is our rather large garden gnome.  The Gazbarn (a cross between a gazebo and barn) has been the venue for many weddings ... the rose walk leads from the bridge over the pond.

Our Dairy Workshops are proving so popular that the latest addition to the garden is the derelict caravan that Greg has miraculously turned into a workshop to run the cheesemaking classes!  The leadlights in the doors tell the story!
