Learn to make delicious camembert, quarg cheese, ricotta and yoghurt. Two nights Weekends $650 / couple or twin share ($400 single) Weekdays $590 / couple or twin share ($350 single) 8 people required for a course - email your interest and we will let you know when the next course is being run or organize 8 of your nearest and dearest! First Day
4.00 - 7.00 pm Check in to your deluxe queen bedroom with en-suite and double spa. 7.30pm Dinner & wine-tasting - an opportunity for us welcome you to our home and for you to informally meet the other guests. Second Day 8.00 am Gourmet breakfast - choose from a wide range of breakfast made from local Wollondilly Farmgate Produce wherever possible. 9.30am Workshop commences. Morning Tea will be served during a break in the cheese-making process. 12.30pm A Wollondilly Farmgate Platter lunch will be served of homemade soup local cheese, smoked meat, olives, nuts and Common Ground sourdough bread with local fruit juices whilst you wait for the milk to curdle! about 4.00ish The cheese will be left to knit overnight. You will then have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the view, or have a wander around Picton or maybe a local brew at The George IV! Or perhaps you would like to book in for a relaxing massage at Kamarian Retreat ($60 each for an hour). Dinner is not included in the package but we are happy to either make a reservation at one of the many local restaurants or pubs or you are welcome to join us for dinner or we can prepare your dinner to have in the privacy of your room. Third Day 9.00am Leisurely breakfast with your cheese-making mates! Time to have a leisurely explore of our beautiful shire - visit the local wineries, Steam Museum or any of the great galleries and shops in the area Maybe head down to Mittagong, Berrima or Bowral - there may be some country markets on, but if not there are plenty of things to see and do. about 2ish Return to Dreamcatcher Lodge for afternoon tea and the brining process. The product of the weekend is then divided up for your to take home to enjoy. Before departing for home, you will be given a hand-made timber cheese board and spreading knife to present your camembert in the best possible way! We suggest you bring a small esky and ice-brick in which to take your 'works of art' home.so you may The Workshop will be run by a local B & B operator, Margie Carrick, whose property is Certified Organic accredited specializing in eggs and seasonal herbs, vegetables, fruits and nuts which have been grown in chemical-free soils, without the use of artificial fertilisers or herbicides. She practices environmentally conscious farming methods, leaving pest control to Mother Nature who does a wonderful efficient job on her own! |
